myICE allows the First Responder to use their own or any other phone to access clients’ critical information via our site. The technology is accessed by entering the myICE website portal and placing a unique code, found on the card to gain our members' details (e.g. photo, medical history, medical aid details, drug interaction information, doctor details and identifying markings etc). AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION COSTS

Your membership gives you automated services between the MyProtector call centre, LegalTech medical data and the emergency card and code. MyProtector provides your family with a dossier of key contacts in a directory and a brief summary of events. The list of contacts allow your family to reach any active service provider who is dealing with the emergency, like hospital contact, doctors or other office administrators etc. * Free member Full Services
 
 
Technology Services

Your medical and other emergency data is housed within your LegalTech Vault database. The information becomes instantly available to first responders when they are managing your emergency. This provides them with critical data to help save your life. * Free member Full Services
 
 





NOTES:


(1) Ambulance Benefit Limitations - The benefits are limited annually and can be claimed for up to two events per year / per person. The full benefits become available again with each consecutive year.
(2) Vehicle towing Benefit Limitations - The benefit only pertains the vehicle directly involved in an accident and where the driver is legally registered to be driving the vehicle and the vehicle being insured. The towing organisation must be registered and comply with the National Road Traffic Act (No.93 of 1996).
* Free member - Where MyProtector offers Free myICE services as part of a promotion or similar. These individuals will have limited benefits and will be able to upgrade their package if so desired.
Payer - The person or organisation who makes the monthly contributions to Myprotector on behalf of a family. If the payer skips the monthly contributions, then the result will cause some of the benefits to be closed for all family members.
Refusal conditions -

Myprotector Group (Pty) Ltd is entitled to decline services when:

  • Your death was deliberately self-inflicted;

  • If you falsify your details on your application and when preparing your planning with us;

  • If you are involved in things like fraud, criminal activity or misrepresentation.

  • No benefit is payable on this agreement for services that are related to an illness or medical emergency not arising from an accident and trauma event.

Note:

This is not a medical scheme nor is it a substitute for medical scheme membership and the cover is not the same as that of a medical scheme.
